THE 5TH ANNUAL

GESC SOCCER CAMP

Monday June 25th - Friday June 29th

The biggest, best, and longest continually running soccer specific camp in Gallatin County returns for it's 5th year in a row and keeps getting better! This year we will be playing on the fields at MSU, and most recently we have added former Division I college player and current college coach Sarah Leiby, and current US Soccer Developmental Academy Coach and former US Men's National Team Residential player and professional player Joel Smith.

Other camp coaches already confirmed for this year include: Walter Loyola - former US Men's National Team Scout and Pro player in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil; Hunter Terry - GESC and US Soccer B License coach as well as Bozeman HS boys head coach and MT ODP coach; Sara Campbell - US Soccer A License coach and MT ODP coach, former Pro player in Seattle, Colorado, Chicago, Australia, and Sweden; and more!

SPRING SEASON IS HERE!

sort of...

Winter has been taking a while to retreat, but we have been making the most of it, including impromptu snowball fights!

The teams all had their first games in their killer bright new Nike uniform kits this past weekend in what turned out to be great weather in Billings and even though we have had to train indoors quite a bit so far this spring the teams all did awesome!

Our 09 boys and 09 girls played against teams that consisted of almost exclusively 2008 and even some 2007 players, and all did a great job showing what we had been working on - attacking defenders on the dribble. It was great to see our boys and girls display confidence that seemed to get better as the weekend went on to dribble under pressure and beat players all over the field. Great job!

Our 07 boys equally impressed and showed extremely well what they had been working on - playing out of the back under pressure. They were not afraid to use their goalkeeper's feet and didn't resort to just kicking the ball upfield, and doing so enabled us to create large gaps further up the field and resulted in A LOT of excellent goal-scoring opportunities for us. It was great to see!

Tougher tests lie ahead for all of the groups and we are excited to continue working and developing the teams and individuals... now if only the weather would cooperate and get on board.
